Don't Play the Lottery for Me! Concidering that my adopted home state of Oklahoma is concidering a lotery to fund education, this article caught my eye. If you truly are thinking about supporting this awful disease of gambling, read this article with an open mind. I will not lie, it comes from a Christian perspective, but that does not make it wrong, unless you are a bigot against Christians. Thanks to Gary at Country Keepers for the link.

WorldNetDaily: Jesus a pacifist? [link] An interesting though light read about Jesus being a pacifist. Seems the Bishop that our president sits under in the Methodist church is saying that Jesus is a pacifist and that if George W Bush wants to get in God's good graces he better get in line. I do not see Jesus as a pacifist as we know a pacifist now days. I do see Jesus as a man of peace (He is the Price of Peace), but anyone who enters Satan's kingdom and takes the keys to death, hell and the grave from him is not a peaceful man.. My $.02 worth at least.
[Yahoo! News - Lawmaker Introduces Barbecue-Cloth Napkin Bill] From my adopted home state of Oklahoma, a lawmaker is going to file a bill that he is not going to bring up. And we wonder why Oklahoma is broke. How much is this going to cost us, and we can not afford to fund education.

Windows - Authoring tools - NetBeans 3.4 [link] This is a development environment for programmers to write, compile, debug and deploy programs. It is written in Java but can support many programming languages including C, C++, XML, HTML and more. The program also includes a syntax highlighting code editor with support for code completion, annotations, macros and auto-indentation. Have not played with it yet. You might want to look at it if you are an amature programer/developer like me, or even better than me.....

Opera 7 Holes Detected; Multimodal Toolkit Released [link]. Give them a few days. Opera will have this fixed. Though I am not using them as much as I am Mozilla now, I still think that Opera is the best browser out there when it comes to HTML compatability. Hey, Microsoft has had a lot more problems then thay have. I think Gray Magic should have given them time to look at fixing it up before they went public with it. A weekend is not enough.
Techfocus News & Commentary - News Last week's Sapphire worm, widely known as SQL Slammer, infected more than 90 percent of vulnerable computers within 10 minutes, opening a new era of fast-spreading viruses on the Internet, according to a think tank. [link]. I guess the only way to keep ones self totally virus free is not to use a computer. To me that is not acceptable. Though I have been in computers for over 20 years, the only viruses that I have ever gotten have been self inflicted. This means that I got samples and gave them to myself. I have not ever been infected by a virus/worm/rouge program that I did not do to myself. How come I am so lucky. Well I practice safe-hex. ALWAYS keep an up to date anti-virus program running on your computer.
Dum di dum di dum di... doh! BBC's The Archers sends out a virus [link] Well I guess I have to stop picking on Microsoft now. If the BBC can make a mistake and send out a Virus, I guess Microsoft making Windows, the bigest virus of all, is ok.
